These CD-identification programmes - iTunes or whatever - can only go on the number of tracks and their timings. In the case of 2 CDs containing the same musical programme the number of tracks is obviously the same. I don't know how much leeway these programmes allow over timings but the Boyce Symphonies hardly offer wide scope for interpretation, so the likelihood of two versions having virtually identical timings is not so very remote. Schubert is obviously open to a wider range of interpretations but even there, given the number of versions, the odds are that some are pretty similar.
