To be honest, I don't think this is worth getting too worked up about. Agreed, fraud may be uncovered, but my impression is that the information coming into my Windows Media Player is a 'best guess'. The BIS Grieg Holberg Suites comes up as the DG Von Karajan CD, and when I played the Abbado Beethoven Symphonies 2 & 4 from the new DG box set it concluded that the first work was the 3rd Symphony - from the earlier edition coupled with No.4. One of the older Blomstedt EMI Nielsen discs comes up as a volume from the Chandos Rozhdestvensky set, etc. etc. ad nauseam - it happens all the time. When I put in one of my own demo discs the Roxio Easy Media Creator insists it's something by Gigi d'Alessio, which may or may not be disturbing (I have yet to discover Gigi's ouevre). I'm intrigued as to how this happens, but am more inclined to believe a 'rubbish in rubbish out' situation rather than some evil scheme.
