At the risk of trying the patience of readers beyond endurance, I shall point out that Mr Wood's claim that he 'made no mention of audience reaction,' sits somewhat oddly with writing of 'the rare accolade of the production team being applauded rather than the usual booing'. My experience and doubtless my prejudices too would suggest that booing may be deserved or undeserved, but unalloyed audience approval for a production is likely to signal something at best anodyne. I note also that Mr Wood declines my invitation to give but a single concrete example to support his comments.
