Quite right, Martin, it is indeed 'adagio' and not 'andante'. I must have allowed the Brandis's tempo to addle my brain. Still, the Aviv Quartet on Naxos is even slower! I agree about the tempo, because the work becomes unbalanced if allowed to drag in the finale.
