Panufnik's Second Symphony

CPO, a label so unique and fine,have knocked my socks off with Symphonic works Vol. 4 of works by Andrzej Panufnik. Not only is the Sinfonia Sacra totally superb (I now have 3 versions of it) but the Symphony No. 2,which I have never heard before,has made me love this composer to greater heights. As an anti-violence & war symphony it is even more relative in our time today,and what depths and lyricism it contains! Beautifully played and felt by Lukasz Borowicz and the Konzerthausorchester, sorry, I just have to have the preceding volumes too now !! This is a magnificent disc. Thank you CPO
