Software query

Does anyone know of a stable, preferably free,
program which will allow me to merge several
CD tracks together into a single WAV file?

I have a program which does this, but sadly
it's on an old PC which is now feeling it's age,
and although I have the program installation
disk, that version will not run on XP.
