My mistake - I tend to confuse Walhall and Andromeda, both being cheapo brands. But the point remains that it was easy to find and relatively inexpensive. I'm afraid the Germans charge more than the English for parcel postage - if I order from the UK (I'm in Berlin) I pay only a fraction more than a UK customer would, which is partly down to the exchange rate, of course. For about 16 € more you could have ordered the Heger/ Völker, Müller, Klose concert recording from 1942. I got this for much less in one of those bargain shops, it must be getting rare; I only really listen to it for the Telramund-Ortrud + Ortrud-Elsa scene: especially from "Entweihte Götter!" on it has an intensity of power, malice and yearning I have seldom heard on record.
Thank you for taking part in the MusicWeb International Forum.
