As I suspected, the source for my comment about the unpublished status of the Op 74 Violin Concerto was the booklet note that accompanied Anthony Marwood's Hyperion recording. The notes are by the leading Stanford authority, Jeremy Dibble, and Prof Dibble tells us that the last performance of the concerto in Stanford's lifetime took place in 1918. He goes on: "Since then the work has remained virtually unknown, its passionate soul locked away in the pages of Breitkopf and Hartel's unpublished full score and parts recently discovered in the library of the RCM."
I'm afraid I put two and two together and came up with the proverbial five, assuming that "unpublished" meant "unpublished at all". However, I'd submit it was a pardonable inference to draw. Thanks to you and Christopher for clarifying the position.
