Since there is a thread for this review, I'll stick my oar in: I agree with the review that Kabalevsky has been underestimated, but his use of Prokofiev as a contrasting figure is a little wide of the mark, I think, as I detect a definite influence of the older composer in Kabalevsky's piano sonatas and concertos 2 and 3.
