Brian, thanks for your reply, and to John & Ralph too for their responses to my own side-point. I don't think anyone is repeatedly guilty of the 'crime' I mentioned, although Musicweb's older reviews were often lacking in said department (that's no surprise really, because we didn't even always get track lists in those days - you actually had to read through the review to find out the CD's contents!).
Personally, I think Dan Morgan's comments erred a bit on the schoolmasterish side - in the end it's a business decision to include texts/pics etc or not. It's the labels that will fall by poor choices, not consumers. I would actually buy CDs (and have done so many times) that come with nothing more than a track list - if they were cheap enough!
