It's always amusing to see a critic sweeping ALL the music of several composers ("Itís like eating a massive feast that doesnít taste of anything. I feel the same way about the music of Khachaturian, Lloyd and Hovhaness" into a single drawer marked 'unsinspired'. By the way, I'm not entirely sure that something that is "brilliantly orchestrated, exuberant and spectacular" is anything like "eating a massive feast that doesnít taste of anything". But there's no accounting for taste!
