Re: Storgards' Nielsen
Having listened to this set for Download News 2015/6 I can see where both sides are coming from: there's much that I liked but ultimately not enough power where it's needed and the recording in 24-bit form is less impressive than BIS provide for Oramo - that despite the fact that I have criticised the dynamic level on other BIS recordings.
I shall stay with the classic Blomstedt (two budget Decca twofers) or, when I can tolerate 1950s mono, Tuxen, Jensen and Grondahl, inexpensive downloads from Beulah and Naxos Classical Archives.
