Stephen Greenbank's review of Reynaldo Hahn's instrumental music gives me the chance to remind British and American music-lovers that Hahn was a Frenchman from Venezuela, and in both France and Venezuela his surname is pronounced (roughly) 'Ann', as it should be by everyone! One thing he was not was German, even though his surname clearly originates in those parts - so please stop with the 'Harn' nonsense. I mean you especially, BBC Radio 3 presenters!
