Quick note - of the two reviews of this CD, one of which labels Weinberg's concertino Op.46 and the other Op.42, I think the other has it right; I believe his Op.46 was a violin and piano sonatina (1949, 3 movements, Allegretto ; Lento (with internal Allegro) ; Allegro moderato), while Op.42 is this concertino with strings (1948; Allegretto cantabile ; Cadenza ; Allegro moderato poco rubato). A quick search reveals there is (was?) a CD out with both Opp.42 (arranged for violin and piano) & 46, I see... (and Op.47/3 - the Rhapsody- besides.) (Evelina Nowicka the violinist on that CD.)
