I do sympathise with you, Dominy - I have my own menagerie of linguistic cockroaches that I wish I could crush underfoot. But what's wrong with the 'tweet' example you give - apart from the fact that you/they haven't capitalised 'Tweet' and that anyone doing Twitter should be marooned on a desert island, far away from civilisation?
If, as Chris Howell intimates, you're objecting to the final preposition, then you defy all linguistic logic. I can't think of another Germanic language you can't end a preposition in. Celtic languages, ditto. Maybe you think English is a Romance language? Well, you can even do it in colloquial French.
Some things you just have to grin and bear!
