In my review of the Presto reissue of the Ozawa recording, I referred to Chailly's Decca reading as having been made in 1991 with the Concertgebouw. John Quinn has written to me to point out that it was actually made in 1985 with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, and he is quite right. In my defence, I should observe that my check with the Penguin Guide for performance details misled me - the recording of the Schoenberg Chamber Symphony with which it is now coupled was indeed made with the Concertgebouw, but the Gurrelieder was recorded in Berlin; and the date of 1991 refers to the date of reviews of the CD issue of the original LPs.
