I confess I am puzzled by your link to Ken's article, which has no bearing on reviews or reviewing. Writing a programme note and slating the composer/music therein is very different from reviewing a concert/recording, surely?
For a start my views on van Zweden's Mahler 3 are based on a work I've known and loved for more than 40 years. I took issue with his performance, and I did so in vociferous terms. I understand that you may not like what I said or how I said it, but those are my views on this particular recording; I'm sure many listeners will think differently - my colleague Brian Wilson and Mr Rickson already do. And that's the way it should be.
All good wishes.
