I am sorry that Mr Osoffsky finds my review of this disc silly, however what we like and dislike is a personal preference, and as I make clear whilst the performances is excellent, it is just my personal view that the flute does not add anything to the music. I have heard many recordings and a few live performances of this music, some with a flute, and on reflection I still hold to my original opinion that it sounds better without the flute, but it is good to hear the thoughts of a flute enthusiast.
