Additionally, I do purchase a lot of used CDs from the likes of Amazon, Oxfam and a couple of market stall I know. Invariably the jewel cases have seen better days in most cases so I was rather relieved to be able to dispose of broken ones.
The other point I have discovered is that it has been easier to rearrange my collection in some sort of order and having them all in one place has finally brought to an end the often fruitless task of "I know I have that disc somewhere" searches!
Non-broken jewel boxes are now in my garage just in case I need a few in the future.
Arguably, I could rip the whole collection to a Brennan-type device and seriously considered their new FLAC offering, but it wouldn't be the same.
