Thanks very much for pointing that out. Yes, Iíve not explained myself very well. I was meaning that few composers especially early in their career could have hardly imagined having such an unusual work of that magnitude performed in their lifetime. Of course with Mahlerís conducting duties and orchestral resources available to him he was in a much more fortunate position than most. Iíve had the sentence removed.
