Two suggestions for Kodaly's duo:
Josef Gingold and Janos Starker (Delos DE 1015), which comes with Starker's thrilling account of the opus 8 sonata for solo cello and Hans Bottermund's Variations on a Theme by Paganini (not on the same level as the Kodaly pieces, but pleasant enough).
Rachel Barton Pine and Wendy Warner perform opus 7 with plenty of spirit and impeccable technique on Cedille CDR90000047, which also contains excellent accounts of Ravel's Sonata for Violin and Cello and duos by Martinu and Schulhoff. The sound is rich and clear, if perhaps a tad too close.
Both of these are still available.
