I came across a fabulously detailed review of Neumann's Supraphon Dvorak Symphony/Orchestral set by Christopher Howell published in 2012 on Music Web. http://www.musicweb-international.com/classrev/2012/July12/Dvorak_symphonies_SU40902.htm
I've always felt Kubelik's Berlin Dvorak used the wrong orchestra in that the BPO never sounds Czech. Kertesz has his followers, I've never been one of them in Dvorak.
Neumann's set is so lovingly authentic and Christopher Howell symphony by symphony elaborates why this Neumann set is so essential.
Thank you for taking part in the MusicWeb International Forum.
