Bruno Walter's 1938 Vienna recording of Mahler's 9th Symphony

In his review of Opus Kura's new restoration, Stephen refers to conflicting information concerning the recording date of the 'fill up': Walter's studio recording of the Fifth Symphony's Adagietto.
EMI does indeed state (in its Walter boxed set) that the date was 15.1.1938, but since the same source also states that part of the 9th Symphony was recorded on that date, Tully Potter's statement that the Adagietto was recorded three days after 16.1.1938 seems more plausible.
