I don't often buy the magazine and I came upon the current edition quite by chance a few days ago. Sinaisky's account of the Moeran G minor symphony is splendid - the first movement is superb - and his Parry Fifth is no less good. Over the years Sinaisky has shown himself to be a very good interpreter of British music and it's great to hear a Russian conductor proving so effective in this repertoire - and Rozhdestvensky's Vaughan Williams symphony cycle on Melodiya is equally noteworthy. http://www.musicweb-international.com/classrev/2014/Jun14/VW_symphonies_MELCD1002170.htm
I'd urge anyone who admires the Moeran symphony in particular to snap up this disc in the limited time that it will be available in the shops.
