Can any of you assist me with a recording of the following. Neither of these appear to have been recorded commercially:-
1. Reportedly the BBC had a studio broadcast of Berlioz opera (not the overture) of Les Francs-Juges. This was in about 1970 and was conducted by Colin Davis. The opera is incomplete but this studioo version included all that could be recovered: c.40 mins?
2. Franz Schmidt's opera Notre Dame is reasonably well know. However there is a second on in 3 acts. It is Fredigundis. I believe the BBC may have broadcast it at one time; ditto Austrian Radio in a version conducted by Ernst Maerzendorfer.
I hope to track down recordings and top be able to listed to these two items on CDR .... or even cassette.
My thanks in anticipation of any help with this
Rob
