Florence Price Sym. 1, 3 from Nezet-Seguin/Philly

I am glad to hear an A-list conductor and orchestra perform this largely forgotten music. Dare I say that her music sounds like a feminine Dvorak? On the plus side melody reigns in her music and she scored with great skill. On the minus side her musical thoughts often meander. Nezet-Seguin and Philly play with splendid ensemble precision and richly nuanced solos and DG has recorded them quite well.
