We're told this is an important new work. But one might suggest that this music is not. The disc will sell penny numbers and I can't see the full work getting many plays on Classic FM. Seriously, an important work, or the importance therein, is surely judged by time. Popularity must play a part in order to get the piece in front of people. I'll give an example. Are the symphonies of KA Hartman important? I like them very much but their importance? Well a subject for discussion
