It is clear from the LP layout and cast list (as well as the reference to abridged dialogue) that this was in fact provided with the 1969 Austrian Radio recording to which I referred in the final paragraph of my review, rather than with either of the two later Munich sets including that which I was actually reviewing in its latest release. That 1969 recording was issued on LP in 1980 (the libretto says 1979) but never seems to have made the transition to CD in any form.
Nevertheless it is very useful to have the existence of this online resource available, and hopefully it will encourage others to investigate Pfitzner's delightful score. The translation however does reinforce my original suspicions that the text is designed strictly for the sweetest of teeth!
