If I may even up the "score" just a little, I'd remind all that from the days of Clara Schumann onwards (and probably before) there have always been - and still are - women who take classical music very seriously, to the point of making it their career. And very successful they have been and are - as the record catalogue attests.
My most recent experience of audience misbehaviour (admittedly at a play, not a concert) occurred when senior male sitting behind me repeatedly coughed throughout the performance, without using a handkerchief or making any attempt at suppression. This was during the pandemic when we had been repeatedly exhorted to behave 'safely'. He gave me his cold, but not anything more serious.
