Even professional reviewers are not immune to an error here and there. Two weekends ago a well known Sunday Times reviewer of the new Hyperion recording of Stanford’s first and second String Quartets/Horn Fantasy incorrectly credited someone with a reconstruction of the Horn Fantasy. In fact the score exists complete along with a less legible set of parts. All that was needed an editorial eye before it was recorded certainly not a reconstruction.
