Thank you all for the interesting information and recommendations on the various recordings of Bruckner symphonies. I do have many of your recommendations in my collection. My personal favourite of the complete cycles is that from Eugen Jochum with the BPO and Bavarian RSO on DG 429 079-2.
The following versions have provided much enjoyment and I would like any opinions on them:
Symphony 7 Bruno Walter with the Columbia SO on RET 001
Symphony 7 Philippe Herreweghe on Harmonia Mundi HMC 901857
Symphony 9 Bruno Walter with the Columbia SO on RET 016
Symphony 9 Bruno Walter with the Columbia SO on RET 016
Symphony 9 Daniel Barenboim with the BPO on Teldec 9031-72140-2
