Pollini doesnt do it for me as a Chopin player. My advice, try Moravec and Rubinstein.

I like very much pollini s sonatas.
But in the record I enjoy much the sound.
I agree with you Moravec and Rubinstein are great Chopin players but my philosophy is to by record s of an artist who is still playing or list that is not dead before my birth
I am 30.

Open up a new world and find Ignaz Friedman (1882-1948). His complete recordings are available on cd. In particular, listen to his Mazurkas, and especially the op. 55 E flat Nocturne.. the single greatest interpretation of a Chopin work ever recorded. You will never feel the same about piano playing and its possibilities.
