Ian says that he didn't listen to these recordings way back when "And so despite listening gradually to the symphonies, the violin concerto, Missa Solemnis and Fidelio under Klemperer’s baton, so it remained …. until now." Violin concerto? Is there a recording out there somewhere of Klemperer conducting the violin concerto? Who is the violinist? I am intrigued. Regards Tim

As much as I admire Klemperer's Beethoven, I think I'll leave that recording to one side, for now at least. The Szeryng sounds interesting though. I'll keep an eye out for it! Cheers Tim
