| Karajan on DVD

Just wondering if anyone has seen many of the Karajan DVDs released last year by Sony? I read Patrick Waller's enthusiastic references to the Bruckner 8 DVD in the series and am considering buying it, as MDT has a special on these DVDs that makes them ridiculously cheap, especially given the current exchange rate.
What of the other releases? Specifically:
- Has anyone seen and heard the Beethoven performances? How do they compare with the 1970s Unitel set on DG?
- What about the last three Tchaikovsky symphonies from Vienna? Are they any more visually interesting than the Berlin Philharmonie performances of other repertoire in the series?
- Are the Richard Strauss tone poem recordings any good compared with his earlier efforts? I know the digital CD of Don Quixote contemporary with these DVDs was dismissed by the critics while the Heldenleben was lauded.
- Any thougths on the Mussorgsky, Debussy, Brahms or Dvorak DVDs?
