MusicWeb Recordings of the Year

Today MusicWeb published it's Recordings of the year http://www.musicweb-international.com/classrev/2020/ROTY-2020.pdf My Choice as Founder was the Warner reissue of all the EMI recordings by Sir John Barbirolli. My guess is that lots of us have many of these recordings in our collection. I have chosen it because the startling remastering by Studio Art and Son, Annecy which has revitalised these recordings showing just how good the Original EMI recordings were. This is a limited edition of 109 discs although Warner tell me they have plenty left. The reason I am posting here is to warn you of the great disparity in the price of this set from various retailers. The most expensive I have found is Presto Classical at £234.75, Europadisc £179.96 (but have no stock), Amazon £165.08 but the cheapest is from Warner itself at £139.99 here
