for me honestly the sooner the better if i buy a pup i usually get it used to its new life then after 2 weeks i introduce the harness if its a pup i bred 8 weeks i am firm beliver in starting them right off just get them used to the harness then go to empty pop bottle or milk jug then just slowly go from there
