I found pictures of the LST 376 at: http://www.navsource.org/archives/10/16/160376.htm My father was one of the survivors from this ship, possibly even on that fantail stabilizer with Mr. Pombier, since he was a Pharmacist's Mate and family oral history relates a similar story.
