743rd tank battalion

My grandpa, Frank C. Grasso, went ashore on D-Day with the 743rd at Omaha Beach. I was looking for anyone who may have known him back then. He died two years ago, and although I knew he was proud of his service with the 743rd during the war, he rarely talked about it. Only after I became a tanker in the 2nd ACR and went off to Desert Storm did he write to me his memories of his military experiences. Now, having the internet to research what the 743rd did on D-Day, I am yet again amazed at the man I called "Grandpa" and what he and his comrades went through. Thanks to all of you vets of the "greatest generation"...
