Posted by Davy Rombouts as I proud member of the Belgian Special forces (para-commando) my whole life was influenced by D-Day. My grandfather, Eddy Rombouts, flew at the beginning of the war to england where he enlisted with the SAS. He did land on Normandy but I can't find anything. Only the englisch are mentioned. Is there anybody who knows of the Belgian SAS in service of the Englisch during D-DAY? He died when I was 6 years old so I don't have many stories (but I wanna hear them from others). the only memory I have, is a little parachutecloth with the rendez-vous points in chalk and a little map of normandy. Thx D. Rombouts PS: thx to all the brave men who fought and died to free my country !!! "Paras don't die and go to hell, they REGROUP !!! "
