Posted by Johnny Sanchez I must share a piece of personal philosophy with you all. I've been home in Texas for the past 16 months now. I'm afraid my views of La Onda Tejana have radically changed forever. I'm no longer the non-discriminating music lover I once was. In fact, I got rid of quite a bit of my CDs as I realized that I only enjoyed at best one or two tracks from each. On the plus side, I have renewed my love of traditional Conjunto music. I am now focusing on obtaining classic Onda Tejana/Chicana. I still believe in the "Old School" and those artists who put out their music. If it weren't for people like Bob Gallarza and Joe Posada (whom I understand may be reentering the Tejano scene in the near future), I would all but disregard the genre altogether. There may come a time when I will be the carefree supporter of Tejano music that I once was. I will always follow La Onda to see if it beckons me once again. But I will not criticize La Onda. Your friend,

Hey, my dear friends! Hope all is well with you. I'm kind of "back," after a long hiatus... I no longer have regular internet service, but I'll still tune in from time to time.
