Posted by Ham I was kind of tired and I still can't move around with any ease. The recovery of my surgery is taking longer than I thought it would and I have to still use all the patience I can muster without exploding.Charro and I saw all our friends we had not seen in years and it was grand. Patience has never been one of my best virtues.I did meet Pepe Marquez singer and bandleader.I also met Music Producer and Promoter Steven Chavez.Still somehow there was not enough time to sit and visit like I would have liked to.I finally met MaryAnn and Mario.I had not seen Mario since back in 1990 when he was drumming with Johnnie Hernandez and MaryAnn is a beautiful lady and person,I finally met the most eloquent writer in all of south Texas. It was truly a trip in time seeing so many friends and people I respect and admire. These are the people I grew up with in la onda and now we see each other very seldom as time has passed and we all got into different things all in music except our mode of working has changed considerably. All those who performed still have their unique styles in tact and they can all still do their thing like they always did. They can still sing and play their instruments and entertain a crowd to the Max. I've decided that to sit and visit with any of these people I consider friends it has to be on a time schedule for that one purpose alone.Maybe now that Tortilla will be performing all around the country we can go to an area and I can make time to visit with my friends in a more relaxed atmosphere. The work that Javier Villanueva is doing is an incredible amount of work for some one who has had to deal with health issues as well.Javier needs to be recognized and respected and admired for a monumental task that very few people in this world could pull off with not only his poor health but his limited resources. The good thing is Juan Sifuentes Jr. and all the Board members worked diligently alongside Javier but you can be assured this project has been his baby and he has nutured and cultivated this thing 24/7 for many years now. Kudos To Javier and the board at the TRHOF. The Latin Express band as always was full of energy and Hey Leo!!, quit tricking the band into rehearsing by inviting everbody to a cold beer and Pizza party. The Saenz family continues to surely make their mark on the music scene as one of the very top Texas/Chicano Bands in the new mellinium. Meeting DJ Ritmo and his beautiful wife was a real bonus as he is young and yet he understands the significance of our genre and it's historical value. There were friends I met that told me I'm one of the persons that post, like the couple from Dallas that I have already forgotten their names I'll have to ask Carlos since he was at the table with all of us for a couple of hours. Tejano Mike, Flor and Viejito, you were surely missed. blessings to everbody,Ham

The TRHOF trip was fast and furious. It just went by to QUICK!!!. I never had a chance to sit down and really visit with Frankie Firme because we were not at the same table and it seems like everything was going by too fast and all the people I wanted to visit with were busy or they were going somewhere.
