Posted by DJ Ritmo The video and audio was done by Q Productions. Although I am not a big fan of Q because I feel they exploit Selena's name for financial gain, they did one hell of a job on the audio mixing. The 5.1 surround sound was killer and all the major instruments were heard clearly. The sound was also mixed in stereo but if you have a surround sound system then check it out. Two thumbs up to Q for the audio mixing and engineering. The Ramos family did an excellent job on vocals and they were smooth. I almost suspected some overdubbing but I soon realized that this family has excellent chops even in their golden years. I don't know...I guess just some of the cd's make some of their voices sound weak. But on this video, their voices sounded great! The video production was very nice, too. After each song the video fades to the crowd showing them clapping and smiling and then fades back to the stage. I assume this entire video was not shot all at once so these nice cuts to the crowd and back to the stage were nice transitions between takes. Excellent and seamless editing. The video was shot on a Q Productions set. It was set up similar to a night club setting with round tables with 4 or 5 people to a table. So, the setting was staged but the crowd was ready to party. The crowd almost seemed staged at times liek they were taking directions from an applause sign or something. Even one guy from the crowd requested a song and his question seemed rehearsed. But, nevertheless, I thought this idea of a staged live in concert came out pretty good. Hell...the bottom line is the band still had to play their songs and the vocalists still had to sing. And I enjoyed the whole dvd from beginning to end. There was even an additional feature in the form of an interview with Ruben's brothers and sisters. It was great listening to their stories of how they got into music even though they worked hard in the cotton fields. Did you know that Ruben Ramos has a degree? What is his degree in? What did Ruben Ramos do as a career before he started singing full time? What instrument did Ruben begin playing his first time in the band? Who turned down the offer to join the Super Seven before Rick Trevino asked Ruben? This is an excellent dvd purchase with great audio and video production and the awesome sound of Ruben Ramos and the Texas Revolution y Familia. The only drawback is a personal one of mine...I wish they could've done more rancheras but that is my own personal preference. That takes nothing away from the good job done by all parties on this dvd. Luego, Link: Ritmo Productions

This dvd features his brothers and sister as they sing some of their all-time favorites. Lonnie LaLane joins Skeeter on the trumpet and he did an excellent job.
