WE All,
live in a new and different world of entertainment that is fast moving and volatile.........while almost all of my colleagues/peers from my generation
have decided that performing with their own bands would be and is extremely expensive...........TRUE, TRUE, TRUE...[THEY ALL DO SOLO ACTS]....We Tortilla Factory.........Have decided to bring back our original show just as we had it back when we started. WE also took into consideration that we must be true to ourselves and give the fans what they have read about us and what they expect.
Tortilla Factory is rehearsing and rehearsing and rehearsing.........Charro is still a great showman and lives for the music and the satisfaction of being able to perform for La Gente. Alfredo Antonio has turned out to be a serious singer and loves and studies the late great Gilbert "El Coyote" Deanda..............Keep in mind .........to those of you that remember Gilbert..........He was the COMPLETE singer!.........and could make you just stand there and hear him sing....whether it was "Dame La Mano" or "Georgia On My Mind" Alfredo Antonio [my son] has the task of being Charro's new partner and sidekick on the bandstand and has more than proven his ability by singing a Tortilla Classic on the new CD "Te Estas Volviendo Mujer" and also gave three of his own compostions to the Already complete......Tortilla Factory Book and it's arhcives.
Who knows where this project will take us?.........Even we don't know....we're just getting ready to perform live real soon.........and it will be the original sound and the original show...........Except for Charro and I the new Tortilla is a very young ensemble..........average age is early twenties....but this particular crop of new musicians is real special.......
When we come to your area or city come by and see the show and say hello.
