Marty, I think you way off. I heard an interview with Bob Gallarza today on Bnet radio. He was saying that Little Joe wanted to revive that old school sound but at the same time give it a new twist. After all don't we sit here and post messages about the old school sound? Let's face it, other than Jimmy Gonzales who else has come up with anything new or refreshing? I don't know where you live but here in San Antonio, on KXTN, they have not updated thier playlist since the late 80s early 90s!! Hell, they are still playing music from Xecelencia, Gary Hobbs, and other washed up groups. You don't hear any of the live CD Little Joe recorded at Fiesta Texas(here is San Antonio), which by the way had load of new material, or the new Cd from Adalberto, or upcoming groups like Avizzo band, Latin Express or anyone new for that matter. I think what Little Joe and Bob Gallarza were trying to do was take Tejano back to it's roots when it was called Chicano music and revive the sound we all know. This is the same pioneering spirit Little Joe showed backed in the early years.
