The San Antonio paper reported that he died from complications during heart surgery. Sounded like he had heart trouble for the past couple of years. The article went on say artist like Little Joe and Roberto Pulido attended the service. I had heard his music here and there but on the day he passed, KEDA radio Jalapeno here in SA did a 24 hr tribute and the music was great. He will be missed....
