A touring act's worst nightmare. Luckily, Beardo, Ghosty and I managed to hop a ride with our manager to Erfurt in order to try and scratch out a totally acoustic gig. On the way there, Ghosty and I drank two bottles of wine and half a 26er of Vodka in the backseat just to cope with the stress(This is perfectly legal in Germany, by the way). Hope to see you there, Betty! I'm tradin' in my bouzouki for a harp of gold!!!!!

Perhaps you don't understand, Betty. This is the end - the rapture. There is no coming back. No t-shirts, no photos, no stories for Mom over a pot of Earl Grey tea. We're going to heaven.
We examined the engine, and finding no broken parts, dents, smoke, or small children, we began to panic. Germany shuts down on the weekend, and no garages were open for the next 48 hours. Our gig was in 10 hours. A government mechanic popped by eventually and informed us that we were essentially ####ed, that there was no way the van was going anywhere for a long time.
