HI All, just visiting rellies on the Sharpness canal, so have brought my Bass spinning gear with me. I have walked the canal a few times using deep-bodied diving plugs (black colour) and keep getting hits, resulting in a short fight before the fish gets off. It is almost as if the fish isn't hooked quite properly! The fish pluck-pluck-pluck at the lure, and it isn't the saveage type hit you get with sea fish. One fish that surfaced was silver belly with an olive green back (Zander??). All the lures used are new with sharp trebles.
