Pike Fishing South of London & basic tackle

Hi,
I have recently moved to the south of london and was wondering if there are any areas to the south, Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire, etc. that are reasonably pike fishing waters. I prefer not to fish in man made dams/lakes and do prefer rivers.

I will be lure fishing and enjoy keeping on the move.

I also need to buy a whole set of tackle as I am new to pike fishing in the UK. Any suggestions on medium price kit (rods,reels,etc)?

Any advice, recommendations would be appreciated.
