K, forget a bible exists, start there...
I am looking for information on Practices, Customs etc... regarding Booty, Spoils etc.. OF WAR from the early Bronze Age, IN the middle east.
I know in most cases, woman were kept, men killed, goods plundered, a certain amount went to the King or Ruler but, which one? The fighting Army OR the local ruler?
What were the men of the army given etc...
And I am looking for these things that DO NOT relate to the bible.
I am looking for a source outside of the bible of a custom/practice that "may" have been adopted by Abram, if that helps.
Thanks Pope, this is one huge task and I have been at it for about 3 or so weeks, so I put the question out here to see if anyone else might know something or where to find it.
I have read a number of commentaries that refer to Abram as having given a tithe to the Canaanite High Priest/King out of an "Arab War Custom" but, can't find anything on such. Not for or against.
I want proof darn it! lol! Book, chapter and page number for reference! lol!
