I think.
I got on about the same time as you and I was after some good solid "help" with finding evidence for Jesus' existence and some good solid apologetics. I had recently gone through some personal Christian growth discoveries that I wanted to share as well....
Funny, you know .......... that was a real explosive trend right about that time. Lots of seekers but no givers. There were Christian forums plastered everywhere.
Well, I quickly found out what the Christian "community" was like and it was "rough". Everyone, it seemed was intent on the letter of the law only. I got shot by my own continually and by the raiders too!
Anyway, then I unhooked from Christianity about 2001 and had the same people castigate me again but this time it was outright ostracism too ...... since I was now apostate.
Only recently have I seen a gradual "warming" to the idea of actually DIGGING into some of the bible stuff.
I'm always amazed at how so MANY Christians who claim vehemently that the Bible is God's inerrant word ........... actually know so very little about it!~
